New teacher
Born in 1979, Hooman Hajebi is a composer and teacher of tar and setar. He studied under Jalal Zolfonoun, Keyvan Saket, Houshang Zarif, Houshang Kamkar, Hossein Dehlavi, Ali Kheshtinejad, and Manouchehr Abdollahi. Works: the book "Ghatreh-i az Baran 1" ("A Drop of Rain, Vol. 1"), and a book of technical/warm-up exercises specifically for tar and setar. Albums: "Zan" ("Woman"), released in Turkey; "Bacheha Bahar" ("Children, Spring"), released in Florida, USA; and "Zarb-e Mezrab" and "Tar o Yar." He has composed more than 50 tasnifs (songs). He has taught at 14 universities in Turkey, Canada, and the United States, and has collaborated with the Chavosh ensemble (led by Master Zeidollah Toloui), the Aref group, the Kuban group, and the Malek group, and served as technical director of the Mehrbani Orchestra. He also contributed to the album "Tanha To Mimani," performed by vocalist Alireza Eftekhari.
