Began studying tombak in 2001 under Mohammadreza Saghaei, and continued advanced, specialized training under Navid Afaghe starting in 2006. Also has experience with setar and daf. Achievements: studied tar under Hadi Azarpira starting in 2015; won first place in tombak performance at the Fars Province student music festival (2004 and 2005); won national first place in tombak solo performance at the Vocal Arts Festival (2006 and 2007); and received top honors at numerous ensemble-music and theater-music festivals. Performance record: contributed to the recording of the album "Sar-e Hezar Saleh" with vocalist Salar Aghili and composer Keyvan Kiani; has given numerous performances at concerts, festivals, and official music programs; and has held masterclasses and training courses in percussion instruments. Teaching activity: specialized instruction in tombak, daf, cajón, darbuka, and hang drum; trains students across various age groups and prepares them for stage performances and festivals.

You pick the time, in your own time zone. Many teachers keep evening and early-morning slots specifically for students in Europe and North America, and the schedule you see is already converted to your local clock.

Do the teachers speak English?

Most teach in the student's home language, which suits families who want their children to keep it alongside the instrument. Some teach in English. Tell us what you need when you book and we will match you with a teacher who can teach in your language.

How do I pay?

Card payment in euros is being added. Until it is live, get in touch and we will arrange payment with you directly before the first lesson.

Which instruments can I learn?

Setar, tar, santur, ney, kamancheh, tonbak, daf, oud, tanbour, qanun and vocals, taught by musicians trained in the classical tradition — alongside piano, guitar, violin, clarinet, flute and harmonica.

What do I need for a lesson?

A browser, a webcam and your instrument. Lessons run inside the site, so there is nothing to install and no meeting link to lose.

Can my child take lessons?

Yes. A large share of our students abroad are children learning a traditional instrument in their family's own language, with a teacher used to working with beginners.
