What you are actually signing up for
The lesson is live, not a recording
One teacher, one student, in real time. Playing is corrected while you are doing it, which is the only way an instrument is actually taught.

Most of our teachers can teach outside English. For families abroad that is often the reason they came, not a compromise.

What time zone are the lessons in?
You pick the time, in your own time zone. Many teachers keep evening and early-morning slots specifically for students in Europe and North America, and the schedule you see is already converted to your local clock.
Do the teachers speak English?
Most teach in the student's home language, which suits families who want their children to keep it alongside the instrument. Some teach in English. Tell us what you need when you book and we will match you with a teacher who can teach in your language.
How do I pay?
Card payment in euros is being added. Until it is live, get in touch and we will arrange payment with you directly before the first lesson.
Which instruments can I learn?
Whatever our teachers actually teach, each instrument has its own page: setar, tar, santur, ney, kamancheh and vocals, and also piano, guitar, violin, singing, theory and the rest of the live catalogue. The list on this site is that catalogue, not a sample.
What do I need for a lesson?
A browser, a webcam and your instrument. Lessons run inside the site, so there is nothing to install and no meeting link to lose.
Can my child take lessons?
Yes. A large share of our students abroad are children learning a traditional instrument in their family's own language, with a teacher used to working with beginners.
